FAQs

1. CAN I BUY MY EASYKART NOW?

Yes Easykart’s are available now, or you can pre order one with a deposit of £250 and specify your delivery date.

2. WHERE CAN I USE MY EASYKART?

The 2008 EasyKart UK Championship starts at Whilton Mill on the 30th March. The series is exclusive with only EasyKarts racing on the day. You can also use your EasyKart at any track days /practice days at most circuits around the UK - always check for availability though.

3. HOW DOES EASYKART COMPARE TO ROTAX MAX?

EasyKart is similar, the power is delivered in a more traditional way with no lag. The carburation is more effective and easy to set up. Engine rebuilds are significantly cheaper and are comparable on service schedule as many max engines are serviced at 15 to 20 hours.

4. CAN I BUY A SPARE EASYKART ENGINE?

No, an Easykart is a combined package and the serial numbers of engine and chassis are linked as one. The Easykart philosophy is to avoid cheque book racing, therefore to allow spare engines would encourage such a practice and create an unfair playing field found in other karting classes today.

5. WHAT IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY ENGINE?

In official Easykart races, if in the unlikely event of a problem, EasyKart Importer ACR will have, subject to availability, an exchange easykart for such a competitor to complete an event.

6. WHAT IF I DAMAGED MY EASYKART?

If you had an accident and damaged your kart severely, it is possible to buy the bare frame of the easykart. The serial numbers would be changed on the Easykart database and your original frame must be returned to ACR.

7. HOW CAN I TRANSPORT MY EASYKART?

The Easykart chassis has dimensions of, length 192cms and width of 138cms. This is with all wheels and bodywork fitted. Of course you could reduce these dimensions by taking the bodywork off which is simple and quick to do. Easykart will fit into most estate cars or the obvious choice is a small trailer with a flat top on. ACR and Club 100 will offer storage and delivery if required (please see Prep and storage for more details).

8. WHAT CHANGES CAN I MAKE TO MY EASYKART?

Limited! The philosophy is to help new inexperienced drivers develop without too much technical distraction. Gearing is fixed for each track, you can adjust front and rear track, loosen seat stays, and change tyre pressures (see tech regs for more info).

9. CAN I UPGRADE MY EASYKART WITH OTHER PARTS?

The Easykart must be used as supplied and must only use genuine EasyKart parts from ACR. The only parts available for upgrade are the seat, steering wheel, floor tray and the HQ line of rear hubs and sprocket and disc carriers.

10. WHAT TRACKSIDE SUPPORT WILL BE AT RACES?

The races will be run by Club 100. Easy Kart Importer ACR will be in attendance with an EasyKart tech tent for advice and spare part support. We will also offer a tyre fitting service and have technicians in the pits to offer advice and support – you will not be alone!
