LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW SEASON!

A big ‘Hi’ to you all and a warm welcome to all new members intending to race with us next year.

I would like to bring you up to date with what we are up to at the mo, including our plans for the format and championships in 2012.

 MEMBERSHIPS

Membership forms are now available >HERE. You just need to print off, complete and post it to the Kart Racing Promotions office with a cheque for £60. Please remember to make your cheque payable to Kart Racing Promotions and NOT Club100. Thank you.

 FORMAT

Our draft regulations are now with the MSA awaiting approval. Assuming all being fine, we will be awarding points for both the Pre – Final and Final. This will give you 16 point scoring rounds in which your best 13 will count towards the championship.

Listening to our customers this year, a great number of you felt that after doing well in qualifying, the heat and Pre-Final, only then to suffer a technical problem in the final was a ‘tough pill to swallow’, having to go home with no reward for all the effort put in for three quarters of the day.

We will also be awarding points for the top 3 fastest laps in each of the finals.

  • Fastest lap – 5 points
  • 2nd fastest – 3 points
  • 3rd fastest – 1 point

Note – Trophies will be awarded for the main Finals only.

 NEW CHAMPIONSHIPS

 SENIOR HEAVYWEIGHT

Next year, we will be running a ‘Masters’ championship within the body of the main championship. Drivers aged 40 years and over will be eligible for the Masters Championship. A trophy will be awarded to the highest finishing ‘Masters’ driver at each round. A ‘Masters’ championship winning trophy will be awarded at the end of the season.

 SENIOR LIGHTWEIGHT

We also plan to run a ‘Masters Championship’ in this class. Drivers aged 30 years and over will be eligible.

 CADET AND JUNIOR CLASSES

For our Cadets and Juniors we will be running a ‘Greenhorn’ championship alongside the main championships for drivers in their first year with Easykart. All drivers in their first season will be eligible to compete, regardless of their licence status. A trophy will be awarded to the highest finishing ‘Greenhorn’ at each round. A ‘Greenhorn’ championship winning trophy will be awarded at the end of the season.

I hope you like the name! Trust me, it grows on you!

If your like us and can’t wait for the 2012 series to start, then don’t forget our one round E-PLATE event which we will be staging at Daventry’s Whilton Mill circuit on 18TH/19TH FEBRUARY.
